Wo (Stella Capella)

Shining and burning bright in the dark, Stella Capella--no, Wo-- is your new celestial idol! Turning the empty night into a blinding white abyss, you won't be able to escape her positive attitude and contagious joy!But charisma certainly isn't everything. Stella always knew that. She started out as a lost soul with no motivation in life other than her aimless passion for listening to music. But she couldn't create it, nor could she dance to it, or--worst of all to her-- even do so much as sing to it without sounding ear grating. Stella's life was empty, trudging through every day with her only goal in sight being to pass time. One day, she screamed out into the abyss, begging to be saved, but received no reply. It made her realize that her life was in her own hands, and if she wanted happiness, she would have to grasp it for herself and never let it go. If riding the waves of music was the only thing that brought her solace, she would chase the reality where she could do such a thing until her legs gave out forever. With nowhere to go, she turned towards her school's chorus teacher; a bitter and exhausted person who, really, was not cut out to carry another's dreams on their back. But since this was Stella's only resource, she refused to give it up. After months and months of pushing and pushing, Stella ended up not yet on stage, but hospitalized. Her mentor urged her to just give up, saying that some things just aren't meant to be. Everyone has their strengths, and singing and dancing just wasn't for Stella.Upon hearing this, a new fire burned in Stella. Not only would she prove her mentor wrong, but she would make them regret every single time they even thought Stella couldn't achieve her dreams.Lo and behold, happiness really can be attainable for everyone. After months, Wo takes the stage, making sure the audience hears her loud and clear..."If you want the stars, grasp the fabric of time and space and pull them your way!"

Jo (Neo J. Liberato)

Chills--that's all Jo will ever let you have when you're around him. You'll be stunned by his frenzy of cleverly orchestrated light and sound, awestruck and begging for more of that rush the second he leaves your sights.Neo J. Liberato was born to parents who were both masters in the art of music production. His mother was a famous pop star and his father was a music producer who, in his youth, was in a band. One day when his father was out of the house, Neo booted up his DAW without his permission. When the man returned home, he found that his son had created what would later be described as the bare bones of a hit. Thinking to himself, Neo's father decided to tap this immense potential and moved to teach his son just about everything there was to know about music production.Neo began to love his life far more than he had previously. Each day, he would come home from school and immediately run to his father to ask him to teach him more and more about music. Creating gave Neo a deep fulfillment he couldn't find from anything else. He knew that this was his passion very early in life. In fact, he was so blinded by that passion that he never noticed the increasing glares from his father. He never noticed the unadulterated distaste in his eyes. All Neo saw was the man who taught him all about the world he grew to love. And one day, his father left the house. Permanently.Neo's mother was left in shambles. She had lost her husband and, more importantly for her, the person who created her livelihood: her music. For days she would do nothing but lay down and cry. Neo lost his father, and now his mother lived in a cesspool of suffering. He could barely stand to watch. And then suddenly, an idea struck him. He went up to his mother and proposed to her the idea that he could create her music in his father's place.Such a decision, Neo would later regret more than anything. He found himself stuck in an endless cycle that grew more and more relentless as time passed. He went from willingly writing songs to being forced to write them every single day until he passed out from exhaustion. Each and everyday became a torturous loop of monotony all because he wanted to help his mother stop crying. He began to hate his life, and music, the only thing that truly brought him happiness at that point, along with it.Yet, he couldn't bring himself to give up. There was still a spark of hope left in him.A spark of hope that led to him meeting someone who would change his life forever.

Asaka Netsu

As a former failed idol turned dissatisfied high school chorus teacher, Asaka Netsu was Stella's personal mentor early on in her path to becoming an idol--a true pillar of creation.Netsu has a personality that isn't amicable in the slightest. They are quite sour as they tend to relish in the feeling of schadenfreude; a result of living a life ridden with misfortunes they never saw others have to face.Netsu had a life long passion for music production, and wanted to share their creations with the world through being an idol. However, this dream never panned out, as every live house they performed at received little to no business when they were on stage. After years and years of trying their best to no avail, they gave up and resigned themself to working as a chorus teacher and uploading music that would consistently get tens of hundreds of streams at the most. Throughout their career teaching, they would beg the higher ups at their school to begin a music technology course. But when the school followed through, they hired a new instructor when they couldn't find a teacher to replace Netsu the next year. After everything, Netsu had considered quitting their job teaching altogether, and at the core, giving up music along with it. None of their dreams would come true, so what was the point in trying anymore? And then, Stella came along. The pain in Netsu's neck. The thorn in their side. That incessant nagging in their ear. That voice that would preach that no hope was lost, and that no matter what, Netsu could still be happy, still be loved, and still love music. That annoying, aggravating voice that ended up being right.

DIVA (Malika Liberato)

Malika grew more and more dependent on the spotlight that she gained through her husband's music. Without it, she felt that she was nothing in the eyes of the world, and therefore, she was nothing to herself. Because of this, she would see her husband creating "her music" as a life or death scenario, going to extreme lengths to keep him working for her sake alone; no song would be made for himself as long as she was around. He was to be her machine and nothing more. Each day brought countless fights, many ending with Malika forcing music out of her husband at any cost. Even when they had their child, Neo J. And then, after one big fight, her husband vanished never to be seen again.Malika was crushed. Her beloved husband was gone, her child did nothing all day but cry, and most distressing of all for her, her source of income and attention was gone. But quickly after the man left, she started to keep a closer eye on her son's musical talents. He had inherited nearly all of the traits that made her ex-husband a world class producer. He was the perfect replacement.

Sean-Anthony LIberato

Sean-Anthony Liberato is a man who threw away everything he had for another chance at life, and never regretted it for a second.Growing up, Sean-Anthony loved the art of music more than anything. It engulfed his life, taking it over in every facet. The peak of his career came when he was fresh out of high school, which he considered dropping out of many times in order to focus on his new passion. Not being able to let go of the glory days, Sean-Anthony still dresses in the old clothes he used to perform with his band in. When playing with his band, he became moderately successful, but was never able to break into the larger industry. Upon meeting Malika Ntuli, who would soon become Malika Liberato, this all changed. Her mind shattering beauty and entrancing voice were irresistible to audiences, and Sean-Anthony knew this. Founded upon usefulness and not love, the couple got a divorce years into their musical partnership.
In this relationship, Sean-Anthony suffered greatly. Day in and day out, he was made to write songs for his wife. Being a world famous pop star was a job that demanded many songs that would be loved by a wide audience, and when one of Sean-Anthony’s crowd pleasers–a song that meant nothing to him–blew up over night, the versatility of Malika’s music was instantly locked into a box. Without the ability to diverge from an established mainstream within his own artwork, Sean-Anthony became drained. He began to resent his wife, seeing her as a prison he was being trapped in for life. He blamed her for everything that had happened to his music–for the meaning of his life being run down the drain.
To make matters worse, his son absolutely adored music. Showing a natural talent in the medium, he got to express himself freely and without restraint. This made Sean-Anthony very, very envious. Soon, he went from tolerating his son, or maybe even bonding with him at times, to detesting him just as much as he did his wife.
With music as his only escape, he ran to live houses during the night to perform. His only moments of happiness would be spent in these live houses, making him wonder… What if he just ran away? This was his life. Why should he be held hostage by his wife and child? He really could just get up and walk away.
His wife would get over it. His son would manage. And either way, Sean-Anthony didn’t care. All he wanted was a way out.
And he took it.
